This gigabit PoE extender offers 1-Port Ultra PoE to 4-Port 802.3af/at Gigabit PoE port which was designed especially for point to multipoint PoE application. The POE-EX04G-60W series can obtain a maximum of 60-watt PoE power from ultra PoE input port and supplies a maximum of 56-watt PoE power budget for 4 PoE output ports, extending both the reach of Gigabit Ethernet Data and IEEE 802.3at / 802.3af Power over Ethernet over the standard 100m (328 ft.) CAT. 5/5e/6 UTP cable to 200m up to 4 powered devices at the same time. The POE-EX04G-60W provides a simple solution for adding PoE ports without running more cabling and achieves more flexible network applications without requiring an external power adapter.

Plug and Play Installation
The POE-EX04G-60W is quite easy to be installed by simple Plug and Play. It is used between a power source equipment (PSE) and a powered device (PD). The POE-EX04G-60W injects power to the PD without affecting the data transmission performance. The POE-EX04G-60W offers a cost-effective and quick solution to doubling the standard range of PoE from 100 to 200 meters. The POE-EX04G-60W is designed in a compact box containing five RJ45 ports, of which one "PoE IN" port functions as PoE (Data and Power) input and the other four "PoE OUT" ports function as PoE output. The "PoE OUT" port is also the power injector that transmits DC voltage over the Cat5/5e/6 cable and transfers data and power simultaneously between the PSE and PD.
Surge Protection This PoE Extender is based on the IEC61643-21:2000 standard,Reaching 6KV surge protection, the PoE ports owns the capacity to keep the PoE Extender from lightning strikes and other electrical surges, offering reliable performance even in some harsh environments.

Ethernet has a limited cable length between the switch and the camera of 100m (328 ft.). When needed to cover a longer distance, a switch is normally used as a repeater, or optical fiber may be used.
To overcome this distance limit, network installers can simply connect an POE-EX04G-60W Extender in-line with the Cat-5e or Cat-6 cable, and forward the rest to the camera. Dependent on midspan and camera type, the connection in total can be between 200-400 meters (656-1312 ft.).
