Intelligent Cable Compensation Technology

The DIP switch offers four operational modes: Standard, AI, Extend, and VLAN.

In Standard mode, the 16-port PoE switch (SP5200-16PFE2GE1GF-AI) functions as a standard IEEE 802.3at PoE+ switch.

◆ AI Mode: Automatically detects port data activity. If no data transmission occurs for a predefined period, the PoE power is disabled and reactivated later.

◆ Extend Mode: Operates ports at 10Mbps full-duplex while delivering 20W PoE+ power over distances up to 250 meters (exceeding standard 100m UTP limitations). This capability reduces infrastructure costs by eliminating the need for additional Ethernet extenders.

◆ VLAN Mode: Implements port-based VLAN isolation to prevent multicast/broadcast storms between IP cameras, enhancing network stability.

The 16-port PoE switch (SP5200-16PFE2GE1GF-AI) features two additional Gigabit TP ports and a 1000BASE-X SFP interface, allowing administrators to enhance bandwidth and reduce congestion when using its dual 10/100/1000BASE-T uplinks and fiber port to connect devices like NVRs, video servers, or NAS systems.
